Johnsons Barbecue brings over 35 years of chef-driven expertise to every plate. We smoke our meats the traditional way on an offset smoker, marrying Kansas City boldness with Central Texas simplicity to create a regional New York State barbecue that’s uniquely Hudson Valley.

Our approach is refined but unfussy: bold sauces and rubs used sparingly to complement, not overpower; seasonal sides that honor local farms; and plated presentations suited to weddings, private events, and catering where the details matter. Originally chefs in Manhattan and kitchens around the world, we are bringing new-school barbecue to the Hudson Valley. Combining refined culinary technique with the soulful traditions of pit smoking, our food bridges metropolitan polish and rustic smokehouse authenticity. We fire real wood in an offset smoker, honoring low-and-slow patience while applying modern flavor balance and precise salt, acid, and spice to every cut.

We cater weddings, parties, and private events with full-service professionalism: plated dinners, family-style feasts, and grazing stations. Attention to detail extends from menu design through service and presentation, creating an experience that’s both warm and sophisticated.
